TEMUJIN Signs With RENAISSANCE RECORDS

April 4, 2008

Following the 2007 self-published release of the debut album "1000 Tears", Australian goth/metal band TEMUJIN has signed with U.S. independent label Renaissance Records for distribution of "1000 Tears" in the USA, Canada and Mexico. In support of the U.S. retail release, discussions are under way for a proposed U.S. tour later in 2008.

"This feels very much like a case of 'right place, right time' for us" says vocalist Kelly. "Renaissance are a true 'indie' label, a small but dynamic company. This is an opportunity for both the band and the label to grow together, and we're looking forward to it. Renaissance is showing faith in us, and we aim to reward that faith this year!"

TEMUJIN is Kelly (vocals, keyboards) and Karl Lean (guitars, bass and drums). Formed in 2005, the band has focused on writing and recording throughout 2006, which culminated in the 2007 release of "1000 Tears". The band is determined to build on the foundations laid in 2007, and the deal with Renaissance kicks 2008 off with a major step forward.

Renaissance Records is a proudly independent label based in Phoenix, Arizona. Established in 1995 with an initial focus on the reissue of classic rock and classic country LPs on CD for the first time, the company is moving into the next phase of its history with some great new talent and a worldwide focus on music from around the planet.

Renaissance is currently distributed nationally by Koch Entertainment Distribution.
